I have worked with Carole for fourteen years and with Rachel for nine. Together we work as a team providing biomechanical assessments and coaching people through in-depth exercise programmes, often with the aim of relieving chronic pain and recovering from injury. Carole and Rachel provide a three dimensional approach and are who I recommend when clients need that extra level of support via coaching, hands on therapies such as clinical massage and Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork, and nutritional/ lifestyle advice.
Carole and Rachel each recognizes what their strengths are know when to bring in other practitioners and refer. They work in a multi-disciplinary way and are very inspiring and supportive to their clients. They takes great care of them and steer them through the process, using a very thorough no-stone-unturned approach. Carole has a lot of experience as she has been in the industry for over 40 years which is uncommon in this industry. Rachel brings another 16 years of experience to the table as well. The industry can be very transitory, with 20 something’s just starting out and then often dropping out. Trends come and go so over the years of experience you get a real feel for what works and what is and isn’t appropriate for each individual.
Carole is excellent at connecting with people- she understands what people will respond to and knows how to be a good guide. However good academically you are, if you can’t create a connection with a client it’s irrelevant-it’s about having the ability to empathize with their struggles and have an understanding of what they’re going through. Rachel brings her education and skillset with her from Canada and has her own way of connecting and communicating in a way that encourages and educates clients. They walk the talk! Carole is her own best example of what she does. Not many people in their 60’s have taken as good care of themselves as she has and looks 15-20 years younger than they actually are! Rachel has seen her fair share of sporting injuries and has done the work to recover from each- though it hasn’t stopped her playing rugby just yet! People should take advice from people who have taken their own advice.
